The 2024 World of Speed has come and gone. Several records were set, some which we are not so proud of. Record wait times in the staging lanes, record number of missed times, record downtime due to our malfunctioning timing system.

The racers and crews gave us words of encouragement as we worked through the difficulties. We were eventually able to get things sorted out and the event ended on a smooth and satisfying trend. Many of you came forward after the event to shake hands and offer kind words and understanding sentiments. Also, many offers of help, both technically and financially, have come forward. We are humbled by the show of willingness to help. As club officers and volunteers, we are committed to move forward and improve our events so that we can make things better in the future.

We are currently investigating a few different paths forward and will select the one that will suit the needs of the racers in the best way possible. Stay tuned for further updates and we hope to see you all next year.
